  • NOTES ON THE PROGRAMME

    a. The opening address on both weeks are compulsory events, they are designed to be outside racing/registration and instruction times.
    b. The majority of racing is scheduled to take place on the Main Race Piste. The Race Committee reserves the right to alter the programme, race location, or specifications in the event of inclement weather or snow conditions. Any changes will be announced at the race briefings held each evening and will be published at the Race Office.
    c. Race start times, weather forecasts, conduct of racing and other information will be confirmed at each evening's race brief. Appropriate information will be promulgated at the Race Office.
    d. The Super G (SG) races are speed events and the Race Committee reserve the right to bar any competitor if they have insufficient experience or expertise to safely negotiate this potentially dangerous event. A completed fast run down the SG course by each competitor prior to the race is mandatory.
    e. Team composition for the 'A' Teams SG event may be different from the GS and SL events. Individuals may enter this race but, should the number of entries be too high, preference will be given to those competitors skiing for an overall Championship position i.e. Champion and runner-up, non-Expert winner and runner-up (combined GS, SL and SG).
    f. Classification for Prizes can be found in BRd9471. A results board will be maintained each day and displayed at the Race Office. Team Captains and individuals are encouraged to check the results board and immediately inform any member of the Organising Committee in the event of a 'dubious' result being recorded.
    g. Telemark teams competing in the GS will consist of 4 skiers with 3 to count. Skis may be of Telemark or Alpine construction but must have arrester straps secured to either the boot or binding. Telemark boots of plastic/leather composite may be used and bindings must be attached to the boot at the toe and allow the heel to lift. Space bars are allowed.
    h. The Snowboard competition will be an Individual Open event. Minimum width of boards up to 135 cm in length is 14 cm, 16 cm for longer boards. Safety leashes must be fixed to the snowboard and bindings affixed in a diagonal manner on the longitudinal axis of the board. Boots must not overlap with each other. The wearing or holding of equipment for the purpose of balance, increased weight or other physical purposes is strictly forbidden.
